Pastor John Marsh
John Marsh has served as Lead Pastor of Bella Vista since February of 1997. Since he has been here, he has received many blessings. Foremost among these blessings are his wife Robin, whom he married in June of 2000, and their son, Noah, who was born in August of 2001. John graduated from the University of Texas (Hook ‘Em Horns) with a BS in Communications and from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a M.Div, in Theology, History, and Ethics. He accepted the call to ministry while he was in graduate school at UT.
Here are a few of his favorite things!
Favorite book (excluding THE Book!) – The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien
Favorite music – “Pilgrim’s Chorus” from Tannhauser by Richard Wagner
Favorite meal – Any good Tex-Mex!
Favorite dessert – buttermilk chess pie
Favorite sport – it’s a tie! –college football and Premiere League soccer
Favorite thing to do – read a book while listening to music while watching a movie in the theater!
Seriously, John loves preaching and teaching the Word. He loves spending time with his family, and he loves Jesus.
Associate Pastor Joshua Jones
Hey there! I’m Joshua Jones, and I’ve had the joy of serving at Bella Vista since January 2022. You may know me by the nickname “Ginjy” (can’t imagine why I got that nickname). I actually grew up here at Bella Vista, and as you can tell, some nicknames are hard to shake! I started out as our Youth Director (2022–2024) and stepped into the role of Associate Pastor in January 2025.
I get to do life and ministry with the most amazing woman ever—my wife, Halie. Together we have three fur-babies: one very spoiled dog and two cats who think they run the house (they’re probably right).
Right now, I’m working toward my Bachelor’s in Biblical Studies at Leavell College. God has called me to ministry, and I’m passionate about helping the next generation know and follow Jesus with their whole hearts.
When I’m not studying, teaching, or hanging out with students, you can probably find me reading with Halie, exploring nature, watching Manchester United (win or mostly lose, as of late), listening to music, or giving my pets way too much attention.
Most of all, I love the Lord and love getting to share the incredible good news about Jesus wherever I can.
